Denise B. Pecht – M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Denise Pecht has been practicing in the field of medicine for over 25 years, and has been practicing strictly Gynecology since 2004. Dr. Pecht has always been passionate about helping people and solving problems – becoming a medical doctor was the most natural career move for her.
Dr. Pecht earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education at University of Tennessee (don’t let that fool you, she is and will always be a UGA fan – GO DAWGS!). She received her Medical Degree from Louisiana State University Medical School, and completed her residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado.
She is inspired daily by her patients and her team at GPHW, and has enjoyed building relationships throughout her entire career. With her passionate and go-getter attitude, she works hard to ensure her patients are well taken care of and that their healthcare needs are met.
Dr. Pecht was born and raised in Gwinnett County (Lawrenceville to be exact). She has been married since 1979 to her husband, Tom, and they have two grown children (and one son-in-law) – Britt, Adam and Ryan. In 2018, she helped deliver her first granddaughter – Emory, and has enjoyed every moment of being a grandmother! She enjoys riding her Peloton, upland bird hunting, and pickle ball. But most of all, she loves to try new things, whether it’s hiking, sailing or eating at a new restaurant. You will not ever find her sitting still!

Julie Lupa – WHNP-BC
Ms. Julie Lupa has been practicing as a nurse since 1984, and received her Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Women’s Health Certification in 2003. After she worked hard for a 4.0 in her undergrad Nursing program, she decided she had a career in this field, and continued to get her Master’s Degree from Emory University.
After working in the Labor and Delivery and High Risk Perinatal Unit at DeKalb Medical Center and Northside Hospital, she felt called to this career to work with women. She thoroughly enjoys working with her patients and their families, as well as hearing their life stories.
Julie is inspired daily by her faith, family and friends. She has three adult children – Andrea, John and Joe, and two beautiful grandsons – Hugh and Jacob. If she isn’t with her family, you can find her enjoying a handful of hobbies that keep her busy. Julie is an incredible knitter, volunteer and world-traveler. Next time you are in the office – ask her about her future travels!

Priyanka Patel – M.D., MSc, FRCSC
Dr. Priyanka Patel obtained her B.Sc. Honours in Life Sciences from McMaster University, followed by a Master of Science degree and a medical degree from the University of Toronto. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Toronto and holds the designation of a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Obstetrics & Gynecology. She is American Board Eligible in OBGYN.
Dr. Patel’s ongoing research pursuits are focused on understanding infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss. Dr. Patel’s contributions have been featured in peer-reviewed publications, and her expertise has been shared through presentations at both national and international medical conferences.
Guided by her commitment to patient well-being, Dr. Patel provides support throughout a patient’s life as they go through various transitions in their reproductive health and menopause. She accomplishes this by cultivating an environment that is not only comfortable, but also deeply caring and empathetic.
Dr. Patel recently moved south to join her husband and is happily adjusting to a life without shoveling snow. When she’s not caring for patients, she enjoys experimenting in the kitchen and exploring new restaurants. In her spare time, she finds joy in baking, often using it as a creative outlet and a way to unwind!
